•How to download Avast Antivirus

Part 1 of 2: Downloading the Antirus

1)Go to the Avast website.

Click"Go to Download".


2)Download the Essential Avast! Free Antivirus.

3)When redirected, click download.

4)Save the setup.exe in your desired location.

Part 2 of 2: Installing the antivirus

1) Locate the setup.exe for the antivirus and double-click to run.

2) Click "Regular Installation" after the application has opened.

Choosing Regular Installation is the safest option. If you wish to do a Custom Installation, click on it (Not recommended for novices).

3) Read the "End User License Agreement" and click "Continue".

4) Wait as the program installs the antivirus software.

Before installing, the program will setup a Restore Point.

5)Click "Done" after the install has completed.

After clicking "Done", a quick-scan will start. You can stop this by clicking cancel.
